The SDSU Innovation Campus'
Master Plan is a plan to:

• Develop clusters of buildings with focus on wind energy, bio-fuels, agriculture, engineering, software and hardware development, pharmaceutical research, infectious diseases, computers/electronics, information technology, medical biotech, just to name a few
• Construct buildings with a mix of office, laboratory, proto-type production, educational, and meeting facilities
• Create pedestrian linkage between buildings to stimulate collaboration and sharing of ideas
• An innovative vehicular layout around the Innovation Campus which promotes easy access to Innovation Campus companies and researchers
• Provide friendly pedestrian crossways to get people to and from South Dakota State University’s main campus and Innovation Campus
• Connect walkways, plazas, and open recreational space with walkways to coffee shops, restaurants, and fitness center
• A unique entrance that invites guests and visitors into the site
• A large landscaped traffic-circle (round-about) to anchor the main entrance and is the central focus of a north/south boulevard road
• Green development - be innovative in every way, from the way the Innovation Campus detains water to the users of the exterior and interior spaces  
• Connection to Interstate I-29 and Highway-14 Bypass 
• 125-acre Innovative Community located next to South Dakota State University
• Full build-out planned for more than one-million square feet of state-of-the-art facilities to house innovative scientists and researchers, and companies on the cutting edge of new ideas and technologies
